TWO days Workshops with Monica Paz!
The milongueros I interviewed danced with these great orchestras of the best era of tango. They danced with these live orchestras playing in the same room, can you imagine dancing to Troilo and he is right there in front of you? Imagine!
I danced with these milongueros who were there, in this era. I talked with them and learned from them. Most of them are not here any more; but, I carry them in my heart and their dance is with me. I would LOVE to share my Tango heritage with you.

Chiche was one of my best teachers, a great milonguero. Many years ago, he chose me as his milonga partner. We also danced vals and tango together, but we almost never lost a milonga tanda together. He never knew how much I learned by dancing with him. Many considered him the best dancer. He had an incredible musicality and transmitted a lot in his dance. Chiche passed away in February of 2020. The milongas have never been the same for me. I carry with my all I learned from him and our years of dancing together at the milongas in Buenos Aires. I look forward to begin sharing this knowledge with you.
Wednesday, June 25th. 3:15 pm to 4:45 pm:
2/4. Ricardo Maceiras: “Going to the milonga is not going to a gym”.
Optimize the way you move. That your movements are not mechanical but rather an expression of how you feel the music.
Thursday, June 26th. 12:15 am to 1:45 pm and 3:15 pm to 4:45 pm:
3 & 4/4. Alberto Dassieu: “Dancing Pugliese is not the same as D’Arienzo”
Improve your interpretation and join the orchestra that you dance without “detune”.
Get ready to enjoy each tanda even more, for you and your partners, dancing with the music! Beyond each tanda, let’s strive for enjoying each tango and even each musical note! Why not each musical note?

* Last review: “I strongly recommend studying tango dancing with Monica Paz!
In the over 20 years of dancing and studying milonguero style tango, I have worked with numerous teachers. Among the few who stand out is Monica Paz. She was born into the tango culture in Buenos Aires, and has devoted her career to passing on all that she learned from the original milongueros. Sadly, most have passed, but even they could not teach because they ‘just did it’. Monica danced and talked with them over many years in order to figure out what they did to make their dance so special. She has developed an effective course of study that passes on their secrets.
The last class I took with Monica amazed me! In one hour she gave me a few simple suggestions that added fluidity and comfort to my dance. She is a gifted teacher for beginners as well as those of us who have loved and practiced tango for many years.”
